About the Role
As a Support Worker / Carer, you will provide person-centred support tailored to the individual needs of each client. You will help people develop their independence, maintain their wellbeing and participate in everyday activities and their local community.
The role is available on both a full-time and part-time basis, making it suitable for candidates looking for flexible working arrangements as well as those seeking a permanent career in care.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities may include:
- Following individual support plans and risk assessments
- Providing one-to-one support based on each person’s needs
- Completing accurate daily care records, reports and logs
- Supporting clients with budgeting and developing life skills
- Accompanying clients to appointments and activities
- Supporting cooking sessions and independent living activities
- Providing emotional and practical support
- Encouraging clients to access and participate in their local community
- Promoting independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing
- Maintaining a clean, safe and supportive environment
- Working professionally with clients, families and other members of the care team
Requirements
We are looking for individuals who are committed to providing safe, respectful and person-centred care.
Applicants should have:
- Previous experience in care or support work preferred
- PMVA training
- Up-to-date mandatory training completed within the last 12 months
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good written skills and the ability to maintain accurate records
- A reliable, compassionate and professional approach
- A genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable adults
